When it comes to spring time there is always an incredible amount of outside work that needs to done. One of the most noticeable tasks at hand was getting the outside furniture cleaned. It was obvious after all the snow melted that it was a huge mistake leaving it out all winter to gather dirt and grime. After contemplating for a while and talking with some friends, it seemed like the best route of action was to invest in a Generac 6602 pressure washer.
Not only does it get off that thick dirt that is impossible to fully wash off with a hose but you can also wash cars, siding, and masonry all with a simple turn of a dial. The Generac is designed to be a 4-in-1 tool with variable pressure technology.
FeaturesThe Generac 6602 now has a power dial pressure control. It is so simple to use; all you need to do is adjust the spray intensity depending on what you are cleaning. It’s convenient having a pressure washer that’s easy to operate as well as having different pressure levels. There are 4 specific cleaning tasks on the power dial and the Generac 6602 will automatically deliver the right amount of pressure to the cleaning applicant you picked. This takes all of the guess work out of which nozzle to use or how much pressure is optimal for each specific job. This Generac 6602 pressure washer OHV engine delivers up to 3100 pounds per square inch and 2.8 Gallons per minute which can virtually clean the dirt off of anything imaginable. So far I have washed the siding of my house, my wheel rims, all the outdoor furniture, and my driveway and it has yet to disappoint! This new version features a folding handle for easy and compact storage. It’s only a quick second to fold it down with no hassle.
First time testing
When I first tested the power dial I was surprised at how great this truly worked. I have had so much dirt and mildew piled up on my back patio I really wasn’t sure anything would get it off at this point. At first I couldn’t exactly figure out where the dial should be turned to but after a quick peek at the instructions, it then seemed obvious. It was very impressive how well it delivers and sets the pressure to the perfect setting. There were no issues removing all the dirt and mildew off of the patio; I didn’t even have to use the soap nozzle that is included.
The one real issue I have faced with this being a gas powered unit is getting it started. I’ve never had problems starting a lawn mower, weed wacker, or any other gas powered power washer but for some reason, it takes three pulls every time to get this sucker started. This isn’t a deal breaker for me but it is still a bit of a hassle every time I try to get it started.
The Bottom Line
In the past few years I have used various electric and gas powered pressure washers but this one really did stand out to me over the rest. The ease of use was incredible; even my wife could figure it out although she never could get it started herself! The simplistic design took all the thinking out of the job which let me just enjoy being out in the sun and tidying up the patio.
